This role is for the 2025 Summer Internship Program.
Program Duration:
Our program runs approximately 40 hours per week, June through mid-August.
What you will do:
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is seeking an initiative-taking individual to join our Business Analytics team. You will work with our team to research and find opportunities to improve member health outcomes and make healthcare more affordable. If you are a current or recent college undergraduate student with education or work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, and have demonstrated project management, interpersonal, and computer skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity! The position is full-time (40 hours/week) for a three-month internship, during the summer months (June-mid August).
- Develops plans, analyzes data, and reports results to a senior analyst to present findings to key internal stakeholders to make informed decisions.
- Assist in designing and building strategic and actionable insights utilizing comprehensive visual analytics capabilities.
- Assist in preparing reports and analysis to identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets for values and new opportunities.
- Assist in developing meaningful reporting programs in a variety of reporting and analytic tools, integrating multiple data sources together.
- Assists co-workers in using data/information in new and innovative ways.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
- We require interns to be enrolled in an educational program during the duration of the internship program.
- Completed a minimum of sophomore year (4 semesters) by the start of the internship.
- Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and a customer service orientation
- Willingness to take initiative and learn new concepts and technical skills
- Capability to work in a hybrid environment, both at home and onsite at least 2 days per week.

Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $22.00 - $23.00 - $24.00 Hourly
Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
