The Impact You Will Have

As the Employee Relations Partner Principal, you will leverage your extensive expertise in HR, employment law, and business acumen to ensure our associates and work environment reflect our core values. You will be responsible for executing on enterprise ER strategy across the business units you support, managing and tracking highly complex employee relations issues. In this critical role, you will conduct thorough investigations into allegations, develop and execute comprehensive investigative plans, and apply your expert knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) to handle intricate cases. Your insights and recommendations will be pivotal to employment counsel and senior leadership. Collaboration is paramount, and you will work closely with internal counsel, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, People Analytics, Organizational Development, and Enterprise Learning. Your role will involve consulting and making recommendations on all employee relations topics, ensuring a cohesive and supportive work environment. Additionally, you will manage incoming compliance hotline issues and lead updates to HR policies and processes, partnering with employment counsel, Centers of Excellence (COEs), and other key stakeholders to maintain current and effective policies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement ER strategies across business areas, ensuring alignment with the enterprise ER strategy.

  • Manage and track complex employee relations issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

  • Conduct thorough investigations into allegations, develop investigative plans, document findings, and provide recommendations to employee relations leader, employment counsel, Chief Human Resource Officer, and senior leadership.

  • Interpret and apply company policies, providing guidance on policy-related issues.

  • Work closely with internal and external counsel, HRBPs, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, People Analytics, Organizational Development, and Enterprise Learning.

  • Handle incoming compliance hotline issues and update HR policies and processes in collaboration with HRBPs, Sr. Director ER, and CHRO.

  • Provide expert recommendations and manage processes related to ADA and leave cases.

  • Partner with HRBPs on complex performance issues, providing support and recommendations.

  • Log cases in the tracking system, analyze trends, and develop strategies to mitigate employee relations risks.

  • Provide workplace-related recommendations and insights based on investigation findings.

  • Lead key ER projects and cross-functional team initiatives.

  • Manage and update HR policies and processes to ensure they are current and effective.

  • Build strong partnerships with compliance, legal, HR, security, and other stakeholders.

  • Stay current with evolving ER challenges and proactively recommend solutions.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal Studies, Industrial-Organizational Psychology or related field.

  • 7+ years of related professional experience in Human Resources and/or Employee Relations

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal Studies, Industrial-Organizational Psychology

  • Certification PHR/SPHR

  • 10+ years of related professional experience in Human Resources and/or Employee Relations

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across boundaries, influence to resolve issues, drive change, and partner with others

  • Ability to manage and investigate allegations independently or with cross-functional teams

  • Excellent judgment and adherence to confidentiality requirements

  • Proven ability to manage tasks with multiple conflicting priorities and deadlines

  • Excellent organizational, written, verbal, and analytical skills

  • Experience in handling complex employee relations issues and conducting investigations

  • Sound decision-making ability and conflict resolution skills

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills to promote employee satisfaction

  • Proven ability to build and strengthen relationships within teams and across the organization

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 - $170,000.00 Annual

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
