Industry-leading support for veterans
Blue Cross is Minnesota’s first health plan designated as a Yellow Ribbon Company for our efforts to hire and retain veterans. We are proud to recognize and thank all our veteran associates — both active and former military members — for their service and dedication to our country.
LGBTQ+ workplace equality leader
Blue Cross received a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign’s annual Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for 2022. Launched in 2002, the CEI has become the nation’s premier benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality. Blue Cross joins the ranks of more than 760 major U.S. businesses that also earned top marks this year.
Associate resource groups
Associate Resource Groups (ARGs) are helping us create a culture of inclusion and become a better place to work. They ensure that all associates are comfortable bringing their authentic, whole selves to work each day.
These groups help Blue Cross identify solutions and implement programs that promote health equity and support community outreach efforts. All Blue Cross associates are welcome to participate in any of these organizations.
African American Professionals Network
(AAPN) Promotes a work environment and culture where African Americans and those of African descent can achieve their full potential.
Is a catalyst for change by sharing the unique perspectives of its members within our company and by being the voice of Blue Cross within the Asian community.
Christian Associate Resource Group
(CHARG) Is an ARG for those who subscribe to the Christian faith or who want to learn more about it while also contributing to Blue Cross business initiatives.
Promotes the professional experiences, ideas, energy and historic contributions of Latinos/Latinas to Minnesota’s cultural and economic development.
Indigenous People’s Resource Group
(IPRG) Is designed for associates who are Native American, Native Hawaiian, Alaskan Native, their descendants, and allies to support and provide educational opportunities across the organization.
Mental Health and Substance Use Awareness
(MHSUA) Exists to raise awareness, educate, encourage acceptance and eliminate stigma associated with mental health or substance use challenges.
Is focused on increasing the hiring and retaining of people with disabilities across the enterprise.
Professional Growth Network
(PGN) Provides a platform for associates of all ages to develop leadership skills, network with others who share common interests, advance their career goals and help Blue Cross with initiatives aimed at different generational markets.
Provides educational resources for the company, leads LGBTQ+ community outreach efforts, and contributes to the achievement of business goals.
Recognizes the contributions of veterans and supports active military associates and their families before, during and after deployment.
Offers female associates opportunities to network, grow, develop, drive positive change, provide thought leadership to the organization, and create a more gender-balanced workplace.
