Description Summary

This position is responsible for performing operational benefits administration tasks in a quality manner, in alignment with the organization’s broader Total Rewards objectives.


Accountabilities


  1. Assists in the administration of benefit and wellness programs to ensure cost effective utilization of resources and compliance with program provisions and external regulations.

  2. Serves as a Tier 2 resource in answering questions related to associate or retiree benefits (through inbound calls or emails), with a service-minded focus on the consumer.  Adheres to established service level agreements and according to procedures, escalating as appropriate.

  3. Identifies areas for continuous improvement.

  4. Effectively communicates benefit and wellness programs and related policies and practices to ensure associates, retirees, and other colleagues have accurate information on which to base decisions.

  5. Serves as a liaison with vendors and carriers both internal and external to promote programs, resolve problems and assure accurate processing of data.

  6. Performs various administrative duties which may include data entry, scanning, filing, report generation, and accurate and timely processing of data.  Maintains integrity and accuracy of records at all times.


Requirements


  • High school diploma and 2 years of relevant work experience which includes answering questions regarding benefits, wellness or other HR programs.

  • Customer service focus and strong interpersonal skills required.

  • Effectively communicates, consults and collaborates with colleagues and all levels of management.

  • Familiarity with or ability to learn laws governing benefits, and maintain the privacy and confidentiality of information.

  • Ability to understand and execute on benefits policies and procedures.

  • Excellent attention to detail, good organizational skills, problem solving skills and ability to anticipate concerns.

  • Demonstrated technology and data entry skills; ability to use MS Word, Excel and Access. 

  • Comfortable working with HR systems.

  • Ability to learn additional programs or systems as needed.
