Description Summary

This position is responsible for identifying, defining, and leading customer-facing digital experiences, including mobile and emerging platforms, across the enterprise. This position reports to the Chief Marketing & Experience Officer, leads a team of user-experience researchers and designers, and partners with strategy and product, marketing and communications, technology, sales and account management, and operations leaders. This position is responsible for effectively planning, managing, growing, and enhancing a portfolio of externally facing digital products by tracking emerging digital trends, defining appropriate strategies and initiatives, managing digital experience design, and measuring experience effectiveness.


Accountabilities


  1. Develop and maintain short- and long-range digital-experience vision and product roadmap: Define and manage multi-generation product plans for digital and mobile initiatives; and identify and drive new and differentiating opportunities for stakeholder engagement, optimization, and education through digital channels.

  2. Lead the planning of digital-experience initiatives that cross teams and roles.

  3. Lead decision-making in partnership with cross-functional team of business partners in digital-product, -program, and -service prioritization enhancement and growth discussions and decisions.

  4. Lead digital strategy and digital-product visioning; ensuring digital products support stakeholder needs, business strategy, and financial-product objectives.

  5. Lead partner-experience planning: ensure user flows among and across partner and Further channels are defined and optimized; work with partners to optimize the experience for shared customers. Develop cross-team awareness and understanding of partner-specific customizations and variances.

  6. Establish KPIs and measurement strategy; partner with analytics to ensure tools are effectively monitored for engagement and experience performance, and that opportunities to test and optimize are acted upon.

  7. Ensure digital products remain in compliance with accessibility, GDPR consent, and other laws and regulations.

  8. Consult with marketing team on content strategy, publishing model, and distribution ecosystem.

  9. Convene cross-channel teams to define, design, and implement Customer Experience opportunities and ensure a seamless stakeholder experience.

  10. Lead a team of UX researchers, analysts, and designers.

  11. Collaborate with business partners to define and improve digital-product development processes including requirements gathering, prioritization, continuous improvement, and lifecycle management.

  12. Represent and advocate for digital and consumer experience throughout the organization; be a thought leader and educator about digital and CX opportunities.

  13. Direct the UX and CX team including interviewing and hiring employees following required EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines, and ensure employees receive the proper training. Conduct performance evaluations, and manage employees, including skill and career development.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience within a service industry.

  • 5 years of management experience that includes staff management experience.

  • Expert knowledge in the areas of digital media and tools, experience design, content ecosystems, and product management

  • Demonstrated communications skills (oral and written)

  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience

  • Proven record of pertinent accomplishments and expertise

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with a diverse workforce

  • Effective negotiation and presentation skills

  • Strong critical and systems thinking skills


Preferred Requirements


  • Advanced degree desirable

  • Experience in MN markets desirable

  • Relevant health plan, health-care-industry, and / or financial-services experience desirable
