How Is This Role Important to Our Work?

The Facets Configuration Architect plays a crucial role in strategizing and executing end-to-end configuration activities to support the enterprise's business needs. This position ensures the integrity and traceability of configurations, providing strategic direction and consultation to drive business efficiencies and compliance with industry standards. By leveraging technical expertise and comprehensive business knowledge, the Facets Configuration Architect fosters a culture of innovation and excellence, aligning internal processes with organizational goals.

A Day in the Life:

  • Supports the strategy and execution of all end-to-end Facets configuration activities.
  • Maintains integrity and traceability of configuration throughout its implementation cycle.
  • Champions the business architecture needs of the enterprise by acting as the primary Facets Configuration subject matter expert.
  • Conducts and reports on impact assessments for planned configuration changes.
  • Creates configuration design documents.
  • Provides strategic direction, guidance, and insight to internal business areas to ensure that systematic and process changes meet customer expectations.
  • Analyzes, defines and documents business requirements, and revises existing systems logic challenges, as necessary.
  • Provides consultation to the business on optimal configuration architecture to drive business efficiencies and organizational capabilities.
  • Utilizes business knowledge in one or more areas of technical expertise to adhere to the technology roadmap that guides the strategic direction for the enterprise.
  • May perform sizing level estimates for proposed and/or upcoming efforts.
  • Ensures MN Payer Platform adheres to regulatory, accreditation, BCBS Association and corporate timelines and quality standards.

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with claims processing
  • Experience with Facets claims workflow, and Claims Migration Utility
  • Understanding of Facets functionality and configuration processes
  • Understanding of Facets product administration
  • Ability to analyze new systems and software products.
  • Experience Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and agile planning tools such as Jira
  • Ability to convert business strategy into action-oriented objectives and measurable results
  • Understanding all steps involved in the development, design, configuration, testing and implementation of new systems and/or processes

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • 5+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of health payer business domains such as Membership, Claims, Provider, & Benefits.
  • Experience with healthcare payer platform configuration.
  • Ability to analyze data and feedback to transform information into program strategies and effectively translate into program and/or platform requirements.
  • Ability to design complex to highly complex application programs and systems.
  • Understanding of architecture, application and or system engineering and integration.
  • Experience creating and leading architecture of multiple applications/systems using a variety of technologies.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of general business applications and business processes.
