How is This Role Important to Our Work?

This position is responsible for supporting the growth of SecureBlue, a Minnesota Senior Health Options (MSHO) Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) by conducting sales call campaigns to prospective members and providing them with eligibility information and plan selection guidance. This role will also support administrative functions including managing incoming referrals, creating mailing lists, tracking sales activities in SalesForce and other projects.

This position is Telework, working from home with occasional team meetings in the office and event support in the community.

A Day in the Life:

  • Conduct outbound sales calls to existing Blue Cross members and complete MSHO enrollments
  • Resolve inquiries and enrollment issues with internal partners and communicate directly with members to ensure timely resolution and member satisfaction
  • Function as Brand Ambassador with members and non-members
  • Answer and follow up on incoming sales calls, emails and mail from prospective members generated by marketing campaigns
  • Coordinate with Field Sales representatives for prospects needing in-person assistance
  • Perform administrative related activities including data entry, lead distribution, reporting, managing supplies and marketing materials.
  • Meet sales, strategy and business planning goals as assigned by management
  • Function as Brand Ambassador with members and non-members
  • Maintain detailed records, documentation for all customer interactions in CRM tool
  • Follow all Federal, State and CMS regulations and laws and BCBSMN compliance guidance.
  • Remain knowledgeable of industry and competitor trends, marketing materials, advertising campaigns to effectively develop and implement sales call strategy and to make recommendations to improve effectiveness of the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of health care industry or health insurance
  • Experience working with low-income seniors.
  • Experience with Salesforce platform or CRM tool
  • Familiarity with Medicare
  • Familiarity with Medical Assistance (Medicaid)

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • 2+ years related experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
  • Acquire and maintain a valid MN Resident Producer License in the lines of Life & Health/Accident in good standing within 60 days of employment
  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills and works well on a team
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and follow through on member interactions, sales activities and documentation
  • Travel as needed to locations in Minnesota.
