The Impact You Will have

The Event Specialist supports the planning, coordination, and execution of internal and external meetings and events that align with the company’s mission, vision and values. Events may include, but are not limited to, business-to-business, business-to-consumer, community outreach, and for internal and employee resource group. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with leadership, partners on the Events team, and key business partners across the enterprise in the planning and execution of events. Maintaining strong internal and external communications with event collaborators, and providing extra-mile customer service, are critical for success in this role. You’ll help ensure events are well organized, on budget, and provide a positive experience for attendees. This is a hybrid role with periodic onsite requirements in our Eagan, MN office as well as offsite meeting locations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of in-person, virtual and hybrid events of various sizes.  Assist with developing project plans, timelines and communications to ensure event tasks stay on track.
  • Develop and maintain a trusted and collaborative partnership with, and provides extra-mile customer service to, key internal and external collaborators.
  • Research and support sourcing of venues, vendors, speakers and agencies. Assist with contracting as needed. Coordinate event logistics for in-person, virtual and hybrid events (of all sizes) including items like event budget, registration, attendee management, food and beverage planning, A/V and production needs, room sets, vendor halls, breakout spaces, activations and give-backs, and other experience levers.
  • Collaborates with the internal teams (including, but not limited to, marketing, public relations, Sales, etc.) on the development of effective event promotion strategies and tactics and ensures communications are implemented on-time against event-related goals. Make certain effective channels are used for event promotion (e.g., print, electronic, social media, etc.).
  • Coordinates with internal teams and subject matter authorities on content development, script writing, and presentation creation for internal and external presenters.
  • Evaluate events to identify opportunities to improve attendee experience and operational efficiency.  Support onboarding and training of interns or new team members as assigned. Maintain strong working relationship and communication with events team to streamline and drive event processes.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact effectively and build and maintain positive relationships with management, executive leadership, other internal and external collaborators and partners, and vendors.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload, and work optimally in a high pressure, high stake's environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and switch between multiple projects.
  • Strong customer service orientation and skills.
  • Proven relationship and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong teamwork ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Professional
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation. Must be willing to work some nights and weekends as appropriate
  • High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong deliberation and discussion abilities.
  • Corporate Event Planning
  • Strong Technical knowledge handling online events

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $61,200.00 - $79,500.00 - $97,800.00 Annual

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.

Our hybrid approach is designed to balance flexibility with meaningful in-person connection and collaboration. We come together in the office two days each week – most teams designate at least one anchor day to ensure team interaction. These in-person moments foster relationships, creativity, and alignment. The rest of the week you are empowered to work remote.
