Technical Communications Specialist

The Impact You Will Have
As a technical communications specialist, you will provide technical expertise for member communications including email, texts, and regulatory materials with a focus on accuracy, timely execution, and quality. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure that communications meet technical, business, vendor, and member requirements. You will assist with the administration of business processes and help identify and support process improvements that align with strategic priorities.
Your Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of communications projects
- Build email templates and text messages and review communications for accuracy
- Document processes related to communications and materials development
- Provide administrative support for systems, websites, and portals related to communications and materials deliverables
- Stay abreast of changes in regulations in the rapidly evolving Medicare and Medicaid health insurance marketplace
- Assist with materials-related process improvements and other projects as assigned
- Build and deploy individual emails and text messages in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Work with business partners across the Enterprise, exhibiting flexibility with different working and project management methods and styles
- Build HTML emails and text messages and route as PDFs with specific proofing rules per line of business
- Thoroughly test HTML emails and text messages
- Perform list QA as needed
- Deploy at specific dates / times
- Reporting and follow-up with business partners
- Build Salesforce Marketing Cloud CloudPage landing pages
- Adhere to template and web style guide
- Carefully use supplied translated email language to build translated landing pages for various emails
- Connect simple Cloudpage forms to Marketing Cloud data extensions
- Reporting
- Work with data team and within Marketing Cloud to pull together big-picture reporting on email performance
- Materials tracking and documentation
- Update inventory codes and tracking documents to provide to internal and external vendors
- Upload material PDFs to websites and portals
- Submit and verify updates to Salesforce for materials ordering system
- Provide support for customer service PowerApp materials ordering tool
- Assist with technical and process documentation for materials projects
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills and military experience will be considered
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, email coding best practices
- Ability to organize, prioritize, follow-through and execute on project work you own and manage work in collaboration with others
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft suite of software (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and project management tools
- Proven ability to handle a variety of assignments in a fast paced and complex business environment
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently, and demonstrated ability to work under tight timeframes
- Interpersonal skills for working with business partners, vendors and cross-functional teams
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Proven written and oral communication skills
- Process-driven, with an interest in process improvement
- High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, health science or related field
- Experience in materials or publications creation
- Experience with government regulations or compliance requirements
- Healthcare industry, government and/or commercial line of business knowledge
- Knowledge of Salesforce
- Knowledge of Salesforce-specific language: AMPSCRIPT
- Knowledge of other programming languages like SQL
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $67,200.00 - $89,100.00 - $111,000.00 Annual
Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
