How Is This Role Important to Our Work?

As a Senior Continuous Improvement Partner, you will lead and manage medium to large projects that help stakeholders achieve operational excellence and sustainable results.

You will apply your expertise in lean/six sigma and other improvement methodologies to diagnose, design, and implement solutions that address the root causes of process gaps. You will also contribute to the development and dissemination of continuous improvement best practices and thought leadership. This position performs research, conducts interviews, strategically analyzes findings, identifies solution options, presents recommendations to leadership, and implements process changes, where applicable.

A Day in the Life:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of improvement projects, from scoping and planning to execution and closure, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to successfully define engagements through the development of charters with clearly defined quantifiable outcomes, timelines, and communication plans.
  • Apply a structured and data-driven approach to problem-solving, using appropriate tools and techniques to analyze current state, identify root causes, design future state, and implement solutions, where needed.
  • Co-facilitate workshops, meetings, and training sessions with client stakeholders and teams, using effective communication and change management skills to engage and influence them.
  • Manage formal and informal communication plans on Continuous Improvement.
  • Support leadership strategies and critical issues through continuous improvement project engagements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with leadership and internal stakeholders, and act as a trusted advisor and partner.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement consulting practice, by sharing best practices, lessons learned, and insights, and participating in internal initiatives and projects.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • 5+ years of related Continuous Improvement professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in lean, six sigma, and other improvement methodologies (i.e. PDSA, DMAIC), tools, and techniques, and the ability to apply them in different contexts and situations.
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to define problems, interpret and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and design measures for processes.
  • Ideally, seeking experience in leading and delivering improvement projects in various industries and domains, with a proven track record of achieving measurable and sustainable results.
  • Strong collaboration, problem solving skills, conflict resolution, facilitation and consensus building skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, and the ability to adapt to different audiences and styles.
  • Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and customer-focused, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and flexible, and the ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.

  • Green Belt certification or training and/or Lean/Six Sigma certification or training
