The Impact You Will Have
This high-performing team plays a foundational role in supporting other Analytics teams by ensuring reliable, accessible, and well-structured data pipelines for reporting and dashboarding. The manager will support the organization’s data modernization strategy by leading the effort to standardize and migrate MS SQL data assets to Databricks.
Your Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and develop BI team members in alignment with EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee relations, policy administration, and cost control.
- Foster a collaborative and motivating team environment that supports innovation and accountability.
- Lead the migration of data assets from MS SQL Server to AWS Databricks, ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to define migration strategies and success metrics.
- Promote adoption of cloud-native tools and modern data engineering practices. Manage BI project lifecycles including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Oversee responses to data issues, procedural implementations, and ad hoc requests.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise analytic methodology standards and data governance policies.
- Guide development and modification of software applications using approved enterprise tools.
- Encourage best practices in ETL, data modeling, and reporting within the Databricks ecosystem.
- Monitor production systems and proactively identify opportunities for optimization.
- Represent the BI function in enterprise-wide initiatives and cross-functional teams.
- Partner with stakeholders to align BI deliverables with business objectives and evolving data needs.
- Ensure the BI Ops team provides high-quality data pipelines and structures that enable other Analytics teams to build effective dashboards and reports.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years' related experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
- 3 years managing projects involving multiple team members and including task assignment, working with key customers (internal and external), managing team and customer relationships and managing project deliverables.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of application and database development and operations.
- Technologies, specifically relational database design and operations, object-oriented design, and client-server application development.
- High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Databricks experience
- Familiar with Business Intelligence Tools.
- Ability to effectively delegate
- Experience in the health care industry.
- Ability to understand and comply with IT standards and make appropriate alternate recommendations.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $115,000.00 - $155,300.00 - $195,600.00 Annual
Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
