Description Summary

This individual works directly with a project, program or portfolio manager, and assist with synchronizes all the operations involved in the successful completion of a project or program.  This position is responsible for assisting with the initial project setup, documentation, and close process, including adhering to EPMO and corporate project standards, project resource allocation processes.  This position will collaborate with and supporting project managers with project management responsibilities. 



At End of Internship, intern will be able to put this on their resume:



Worked within a Enterprise Program & Project Management Office as an EPMO Intern; gained familiarity with EPMO practices and processes; completed project work including work within project setup, documentation, and close processes adhering to PMO standards. Learned and applied BCBS-specific EPMO practices


Accountabilities

Project / Assignment description including:



Project work to support project managers including coordination or activities, documentation, compiling reports, and all other project-related activities. Specific program or project to be determined prior to the assignment


Requirements


  • Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation.

  • Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and work independently juggling many deadlines simultaneously.

  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong customer service focus.

  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge and preferably skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

  • Ability to effectively cope with change and shift gears comfortably.


Preferred Requirements


  • Previous experience helpful but not necessary
