The Impact You Will Have

The Senior Healthcare Analyst is responsible for contributing to and supporting the strategic needs of the company through the application of analytics to diverse business questions and initiatives. In this position you will work closely with coworkers and internal business partners to clarify requirements, analyze complex data, and produce and present meaningful and defensible results, including the identification of success factors and barriers, improvement opportunities, proposing solutions, and informing strategic decisions. Areas of focus in the department include but are not limited to provider, health management, quality, product development and client/member analytics.

A typical day for the Senior Healthcare Analyst is fast-paced, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative. The analyst begins by navigating complex data requests—balancing urgent consultant inquiries with ongoing regulatory and annual reporting deliverables. This individual pulls and synthesizes data across multiple domains, including utilization management, prior authorization, claims, denials, and appeals. Their work goes beyond extraction; it involves interpreting nuanced data needs, writing new code to access unavailable datasets, and translating exploratory questions into actionable insights. The analyst liaises with internal teams such as Network and Pharmacy, ensuring data is pulled using the most representative methods. They also support high-risk regulatory reporting, where precision and speed are critical, and advise on how best to represent processes for future self-insured product offerings. Whether responding to consultant requests with tight turnaround times or developing standardized templates, the analyst is a proactive problem solver—delivering reliable, high-quality data that supports both internal operations and external compliance.
