The Impact You Will Have
We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Data Manager at BlueCross BlueShield of MN! You will develop and implement data strategies and technologies to support our organization's strategic plan and business objectives. You will ensure the vision is executed to support data solutions and high-quality results. You will play a vital role in business strategy development and data planning, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of data management and systems! This is a high visibility role that is committed to continuous development of core data management, and the value they bring to business processes!
This role is hybrid, 2 days a week in office, out of Eagan, MN.
A Day in the Life:
- Supports, communicates, and takes personal ownership of data strategy and success criteria.
- Drives customer excellence through establishing partnerships with business and technical data and analytics teams, leveraging business insight to inform data solution.
- Data Analysis & Interpretation – Using statistical techniques and tools (such as SQL or Python) to extract meaningful insights from datasets.
- Actively assesses perspectives from all levels and peers, challenging the status quo to ensure a successful execution plan.
- Demonstrates the capacity to effectively manage changing priorities and ambiguity.
- Drives talent development and retention strategies to support organizational goals and individual needs, including conducting performance evaluations, managing skill and career development, policy administration, coaching, employee relations, and cost control.
- Maintains direction and focus through proactive planning, estimation and organized approaches that align with product management methodologies.
- Achieves business excellence by establishing management priorities, defining performance measures, creating and utilizing key metrics and performance indicators to measure service levels
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor's degree or Masters.
- Experience with the following: AWS, Snowflake, Databricks
- Experienced in Python and SQL
- Healthcare industry experience
- Experience with product development
Required Skills and Experiences:
- 5+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
- 3 years of staff management and software project development, delivery and support experience.
- A proven track record of managing and building high-performing teams.
- A proven track record of administering the HR, resource management, policies and procedures, etc. within an application development department.
- Experience customizing, implementing and working with various application development and quality improvement methods, including RUP, XP or other agile development methods, CMM(I), etc.
- A background that includes time spent as a portfolio/project manager and an application architect or technical lead.
- Positions in IT division:
-Cloud Service Provider Certification (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, etc.) – required within 1 year of employment
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $115,000.00 - $155,300.00 - $195,600.00 Annual
Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
