High Five round-up: celebrating the power of recognition at Blue Cross
Being able to recognize your coworkers is a powerful way to celebrate the everyday leadership that drives our mission forward at Blue Cross. That’s why we’re excited to share the latest outcomes from our High Five recognition program, which continues to shine a spotlight on the incredible work of our associates.
In the first half of 2025, we received 602 High Five submissions – each a testament to the dedication, collaboration, and leadership that defines Life at Blue.

What makes a High Five special?
High Fives are more than just kudos—they’re a way for associates to recognize each other for living out our Leadership Commitments every day:

Whether it’s a peer-to-peer shoutout, a manager recognizing a team member, or an associate lifting up their leader, anyone can give a High Five. And that’s what makes it so powerful—it’s recognition that’s inclusive, meaningful, and rooted in our shared values.
Why it matters
Our Leadership Commitments lay the foundation of how we thrive through change and support the mission of Blue Cross. When we recognize each other for living these commitments, we reinforce the culture we’re building together.
And with 268 recognitions celebrating a combination of all three commitments, our associates are not only meeting expectations but exceeding them in ways that inspire us all.
