How is this Role Important to Our Work:
The Release Analyst Sr will be responsible for managing the process of planning, scheduling, and coordinating a software build, infrastructure outage or upgrade through different stages and environments; including testing and deploying software releases. The role will also encompass product management functions, requiring the individual to understand customer needs and business goals, and to work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases.
A Day in the Life:
Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third-party applications, or operating system updates.
Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.
Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists.
Ensure that the release deliverables are complete, accurate, and compliant with the requirements and specifications.
Identify and implement best practices and tools for release management and automation.
Understand customer needs and gather product requirements.
Develop new product features and enhancements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Define and analyze metrics to guide product development.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a smooth product rollout that meets customer needs.
Nice to Have:
Required Skills & Experiences:
5+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
Proven experience in release and project management.
Experience in managing products in alignment with customer needs and company goals.
Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.
The role may require occasional evening and weekend work.
