How Is This Role Important to Our Work?

The Investment Risk Analyst will support all aspects of enterprise investment portfolios. This includes but is not limited to strategic asset allocation recommendations, assessment of financial markets, investment performance management, development of investment strategies, liquidity management across the enterprise, assessment of investment risks, development of investment risks analysis and models, and development of investment board-related content. The Investment Analyst will work on multiple simultaneous projects at any given time. This Investment Analyst will report directly to the Investment Director.

This individual will be in the office on average 2 days a week.

A Day in the Life:

  • Assist with industry, market, and company research.

  • Assist with commentary on performance results, including the impact of market factors and other drivers.

  • Assist with financial, analytical, and project management support for financial and operational due diligence processes.

  • Assist with the development of models, analytics, peer comparisons, management reporting, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Participate in and assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including budget/forecasting cycles.

  • Support investment management decision-making and compliance with investment policies.

  • Support the development of risk models and daily risk monitoring through operational and systematic controls and reports.

  • Adhere to conducting work through development and approved policies, processes, and controls to ensure compliance and to mitigate risks for the organization.

  • Establish, develop, and maintain effective relationships with an investment contact network to improve the flow of information and enhance the research process.

  • Provide research and decision support related to special projects as needed.

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in financial industry and insurance industry.

  • Knowledge of banking and investment legal and regulatory environment.

  • Knowledge of NAIC, SEC, and IRS rules and regulations.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • 3+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to ensure Treasury and Investment objectives are communicated and understood.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management ability, with flexibility to handle a variety of ambitious responsibilities and change priorities as needed.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.

  • Requires strong computer skills in Office Suite.
