Description Summary

This position is primarily responsible for day-to-day operational product support for new and existing Government Market product materials and product support. This includes Medicare, Medicaid and dual products.  This position is accountable to perform day to day operational product support work under limited supervision in support of CMS and DHS required materials and member-facing communications. The focus is on end-to-end business process improvements that drive the business to contractual compliance with documents, letters and materials for Medicare, Medicaid and dual products. This will include, but not be limited to; assisting with material development, editing, and material filing, serving as product expert resource to the Operations team and internal organization on product material process and operational questions, managing annual material changes and ensuring material compliance.


Accountabilities


  1. Partners with the appropriate teams (including Product teams, Operations and other internal partners) to advance the work of new product or services development.

  2. Partners with product teams to help drive the annual material planning process, to ensure prioritization and consistent application of best practices and process. Ensures compliance requirements and timelines are met for assigned product materials.

  3. Effectively designs, develops, and maintains and/or enhances new or existing model and non-model materials, documents and member-facing communications. This includes management of annual materials filings and updates.

  4. Uses the appropriate tools, templates and processes to ensure consistent, efficient practices among the team and assures compliance with standards and requirements.

  5. Partners with Product teams who have business and product requirements to translate the work to requirements.

  6. Serves as Product SME to help triage operational and compliance issues with key internal Ops, Product teams and other internal customers. 

  7. Establishes and monitors success metrics and milestones during various times of the year (materials seasons).

  8. Proactively communicates with business partners and works cross-functionally to implement process improvements and on-going initiatives.

  9. Effectively serves as content, process, and procedures subject matter expert and resource to colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of other staff members.

  10. Actively participates in or facilitates assigned workgroups or committees.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and 3 years of analytical experience or 7 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Experience in documenting requirements for products and programs and creating supporting documentation and processes.

  • Excellent communication skills with results orientation. 

  • Ability to gain buy-in/drive results in a complex, often ambiguous, environment.

  • Self-directed and able to manage multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner.

  • Strong research, problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills for working with business partners and cross-functional teams.


Preferred Requirements


  • Health Plan materials experience with working knowledge of Medicare Marketing Guidelines.

  • Experience working with DHS and CMS requirements and state statutes.

  • Proficient project management and time management skills.

  • Working knowledge of Visio or other software programs.

  • Experience with Adobe Pro and JPEG formatting.

  • Proficiency editing and manipulating in Microsoft Word.
