Description Summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota offers a competitive 10-week internship program to help develop the skills of young professionals.  The Operations Compliance intern will be given the opportunity to learn from and work alongside compliance experts and see how compliance is integral to the operations of a large-scale healthcare organization.


Accountabilities

1. Monitor and review reports to ensure compliance and proactively mitigate risk.



2. Complete root cause analysis to determine areas of risk and the corrective actions necessary.



3. Collaborate cross functionally to identify risks and opportunities.



4. Responsible for special projects, reports, training and/or presentations to communicate updates as needed.



4. Perform various responsibilities as requested.


Requirements


  • Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university program.

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in, Business or related discipline preferred


Preferred Requirements


  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and writing skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organization, time management, and attention-to-detail abilities.

  • Excellent computer and application skills including MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
