Description Summary

This position is responsible for collaborating with directors and people leaders in developing, managing, implementing and integrating HR program and guidelines to support the division’s business objectives. The Sr HRBP will advise management on ways to address structural, cultural and people initiatives that are aligned with the business and drive success.


Accountabilities


  1. Translate client business strategy and objectives into goals, plans and tactics that align with client’s business objectives.

  2. Develops strong business relationships with leadership. Serve as a key member of the division leadership team to assist in driving business results by developing and implementing HR strategies and solutions that support the short and long term business objectives.

  3. Provides day-to day performance management guidance (coaching, career development, disciplinary actions).

  4. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues by conducting thorough and objective investigations, analyzing risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  5. Coaches leaders to address and resolve employee issues.

  6. Ensures effective application of succession planning and career development tools.

  7. Analyzes engagement survey results and provide recommendation on action planning.

  8. Partners with HR centers of excellence to build management capability to develop individuals and teams and facilitate an inclusive environment that reflects Blue Cross’ values.

  9. Partner with business leaders to create Communication Plans for organizational changes and devlopment.

  10. Lead and executive organization design, restructuring and change management.



 


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in HR professional role or 9 years of related experience in lieu of degree.

Preferred Requirements


  • Master's degree 

  • PHR/SPHR preferred

  • Insurance company or healthcare experience preferred

  • Previous OD experience highly desirable
