Description Summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota is looking for a Digital Analyst Intern to work on our Consumer Digital Experience (CDX) team. In this role you will leverage the teams Explore, Create, Iterate methodology to develop a custom weekly report or dashboard that highlights a consumer need within our digital properties.  You will have access to our digital and mobile properties using syndicated monitoring tools and will have the opportunity to deliver insights to decision-makers about site performance and user engagement.  You will leverage a formal onboarding framework that will teach you the fundamentals of successfully transitioning into a new role successfully.  Finally, you will be exposed to the Blue Cross MN Consumer Experience Insights capability and will have the opportunity to learn about the business of Healthcare from a consumer lens.  


  1. Build learning agendas, identify insight objectives, mine research reports and platforms for relevant facts and insights and then assemble and integrate those insights into a fact-based weekly report or dashboard that elevates certainty around a specific strategic recommendation that drives action.

  2. Master new reporting, analytical technologies & approaches including Google Analytics, Core Metrics, Tableau and our voice of the consumer platform reporting suite.

  3. Work closely with consumer insights team and technical producers to implement and monitor data collection tags and processes.

  4. Aid in guiding data-driven decision making through the development of engaging reporting, dashboards and impactful consumer insights.

  5. Aptitude for puzzles, problem solving and the ability to work with data to answer complex and often non-intuitive questions.

  6. Flexible and able to adapt to business requirements. Possess high level of personal initiative, accountability, follow-through skills.

  7. Ability to learn quickly and methodically in ambiguous environments.

  8. May be required to manage small projects and assist in the execution of primary research, as needed.


  • 3.0 or above GPA.

  • Current enrollment in a 4 year accredited academic institution.

    • Prefer candidates with majors in Psychology, History, Humanities, Business/Management, Marketing, Consumer Experience or Market Research, Political Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or Health Care Management

  • Demonstrated ability to tell a story with data.

  • Application knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to communicate to all levels.

  • Organizational - ability to gather, categorize and prioritize information

  • Demonstrated curiosity about the evolving science of Consumer Experience
