Description Summary

The Business Engagement Lead position works collaboratively and directly with both external IT vendors and BCBSMN business stakeholders, to ensure quality and delivery of vendor provided technology services and solutions. This position will lead cross-functional teams to achieve desired business outcomes within tight deadlines, as well as maintaining quality relationships with service vendors. This position will support the Business Transformation Office in ensuring all defects, issues, and enhancements within their domain are tracked, managed, and communicated effectively. The position will communicate and drive the resolution of issues and is responsible for monitoring service performance, as well as recommending and driving continuous improvements for vendor provided services.


Accountabilities


  1. Establishes and maintains positive relationships with internal business and IT partners and external technology service provider vendors

  2. Manages incident tickets within the Incident Management process, related to vendor ASP issues.

  3. Provides consultation on the priority and impact of the issue and steps to resolution.

  4. Leads, coordinates, and implements timely resolution of system/process issues by collaborating with ASP Vendor and stakeholders (key internal business partners, IT teams, etc.)

  5. Accountable for the overall coordination of ASP Vendor, stakeholders, and other Business Transformation Office processes (Release Delivery, Operational Readiness, Training, Testing, etc), to ensure the successful delivery of new enhancements and defect fixes.

  6. Execute and follow established process to address all issues and enhancements to ASP technology services and solutions.

  7. Tests tool enhancements that enables processes (such as Click Enter to preview the description of AccountabilitiesPreviewServiceNow).

  8. Provide ongoing feedback to internal stakeholders by participating in interdepartmental committees, workgroups and focus groups.

  9. Ability to work in a matrixed environment, where work direction may be provided by leaders outside of their direct line of management.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related topic and 5 years of Health Plan experience, or 9 years Health Plan experience with strong organizational knowledge in lieu of degree.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power Point and Excel.

  • Persuasive oral and written communication skills.

  • Displays strong ability to lead cross-functional teams.

  • Strong analytical, problem identification and resolution skills.

  • Highly self-motivated with a track record of executing established processes.

  • Demonstrated project and time management skills for handling many changing priorities and working under tight deadlines.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and follow-through on work and follow defined processes.

  • Vendor management skills/background.


Preferred Requirements


  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow, or similar tool
