<item><title>Information Security Analyst Job (Eagan, MN, US)</title><description><![CDATA[Information Security Analyst (Job Number:7839) <br/><b>Description</b><br/><br/>Job <b>Summary:</b><br/><br/>Coordinates and implements security to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. Implements controls, develops procedures, provides foundation for the design and development of a security system - directing, supporting, and reporting of Information Security compliance, and violations. Provides risk analysis to business and computer applications. Provide User, second level, and application security support, and 24 X 7 on call support.<br/><br/><b>Accountabilities:</b><br/><br/>1. Implements information security controls and plans, within established information security guidelines, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of corporate data and suggests improvements regarding security administration, access controls, policies, and procedures.<br/>2. Performs ongoing administration, maintenance, support, and operational reviews of the information security systems and applications.<br/>3. Monitors, tests and evaluates the integrity of the system, makes recommendations for improvement to enhance confidentiality, integrity, availability, and safety of all corporate data, assists in the development and maintenance of Information Security department policies and procedures and troubleshoots to isolate and diagnose common security problems and provides security on call support to the Service Desk and Security Team.<br/>4. Represent Information Security Services in cross-functional or special projects, and new initiatives as assigned. Assists in integrating project requirements into the security framework<br/>5. Monitors for compliance with, and enforcement of, regulatory compliance and established security guidelines and standards, and reports any non-compliance or security exposure to management for corrective action. Detect, analyze and prepare reports for management and corporate compliance in resolving incidents involving unauthorized access or misuse of data, include security breaches of confidentiality or data integrity.<br/>6. Provide and prepare statistical reporting for management on departmental measures.<br/>7. Promotes information security awareness through helping develop and maintain a security - conscious environment throughout Blue Cross.<br/>8. Creates and maintains policy and standards as requested.<br/>9. Identify and provide recommendation for vulnerability mitigation.<br/>10. Leads regulatory and audit reviews for prospective areas.<br/><br/>Qualifications<br/><br/><b>Required Qualifications:</b><br/><br/>- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Technology or related field and 3 years IT security experience, or 7 years IT security experience in lieu of a degree.<br/>- General working knowledge of security concepts including, but limited to, segregation of duties, defense in depth, security terminology.<br/>- Demonstrated ability to develop new skills or improve existing skills to keep up with technological advances in information security.<br/>- Strong analytical and organizational skills.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b><br/><br/>- Entry level certifications in a technology (for example CCNA, MCSE, etc.)<br/>- Entry level security certification (Security+, SSCP, etc.)<br/>- General understanding and knowledge of Blue Cross methodologies, philosophies or systems<br/>- Background in Networking, Mainframe, Novell or Windows environments<br/>- Background in multiple non-security related technical IT experience<br/><br/>Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer, M/F/D/V.
